Dear Backers,
We've worked hard to get the gameplay manual done so you can learn all about the game!
Please do realize this is still an early concept version (not proofread or translated yet) and while the rules themselves will not change, the wording and artwork probably will.
Besides the above, we will still add an overview of all icons used in the game and an introduction to the story.

Ahoy Mateys!
You unlocked the 21k stretch goal today! Each box of Captains of the Golden Age will now get the first four characters of the CAPTAINS & CHARACTERS expansion set added to it, for free! This expansion set will retail for around 15 euros after the kickstarter campaign ends and will consist of 12 unique character cards and a small rulebook. During the game these characters can be hired at the Smuggler’s Cove Inn. Once on board of your ship, each character gives a unique, permanent bonus.
3rd party Review added: Nox' Games Attic posted a review and gameplay video on his youtube channel. We are very happy with the result and posted it on our kickstarter page today, so check it out!
Sailing date set: In other news: The announcement of the date of the boat trip! All 'Extraordinary Explorer' pledgers will set sail on Saturday the 29th of October in the canals of Amsterdam! We are looking forward to explaining and playing Captains of the Golden Age with all of you!!

Wow guys, we made it!! Captains of the Golden Age is funded already halfway our campaign. We are beyond excited, the entire team is so thankful for your support!

We know it took a while, and we are very grateful for your patience. We had to think long and hard about this, but we're sure it is worth your wait because we decided to unlock both of our planned expansion sets, in tiers, to all our existing backers,..
FOR FREE !!
CAPTAINS AND CHARACTERS The complete 'Captains and Characters' expansion set features 12 unique characters to serve on your ship. They can be hired in Smuggler's Cove. Each of them gives a unique benefit when used. This expansion set will have a retail value of 15 euros.
CAPTAINS AND COMPETITORS The complete 'Captains and Competitors' expansion set will be a 5-6 players extension featuring 2 coloured wooden ship pawns, 2 new ship boards, 2 unique captain cards, 2 quick reference guides, 2x20 ship segments and 2x20 reinforcements cards. This expansion set will have a retail value of 25 euros.
IF unlocked, you guys will get all this FOR FREE ! (Added to each copy of the game, not per pledge)
